Bio

Caitríona Finnegan is a cellist from Dublin, Ireland. She completed a Bachelor of Music at the Royal Danish Academy of Music and graduated with a Masters from the Manhattan School of Music, USA. As well as being a chamber and orchestral musician, she enjoys playing a multitude of genres from classical to folk to traditional and pop music.

Caitríona is a freelance performer and has completed projects with the like of Crash Ensemble, Irish National Opera, the Irish Chamber Orchestra, Music Network’s Resonate series and Glasshouse Music at a range of concerts, festivals and recordings in collaboration with various Irish artists throughout the country.

Performed and worhkshopped a contemporary opera development project Hysterically Shopping with Glasshouse, Aran O’Grady and tasteinyourmouth Productions at the Project Art Centre in Dublin.

Irish National Opera production of Rigoletto.

Performed the UK premiere of Ann Cleare’s Terrarium at Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival 2024 with Crash Ensemble, the UK premiere of a new work ‘Terrarium‘ by Ann Cleare.

Performed the European premier of Ann Cleare’sTerrarium at November Music Festival 2024 in Den Bosch, The Netherlands, with Crash Ensemble.
